Students get to learn our resident’s journey to becoming a doctor and they can learn about hypertension, what it means, and how to prevent future complications with careful management. Crew Leader Training #1

Bright Prospect organizes a peer support structure called Crews, small groups of students with trained peer leaders that form in high school and continue through college. A "crew" typically consists of up to six students who encourage and support each other toward goals, guided by a Crew leader who receives monthly training and alerts staff of any challenges crew members may face that require staff support.

Summer Academy 2024

Summer Academy is our biggest event of the year, a four-day series of workshops and activities hosted at Harvey Mudd College, a private liberal arts college in Claremont, California. Summer Academy includes parent orientations, college access and success workshops, and networking and interactive activities for students. Workshops explore topics such as growth mindset, goal setting and achievement, and the importance of building a team and community. Additionally, students explore the campus, enjoy lunch at the all-you-can-eat dining hall, and attend a field trip. Field trips have included the LA Natural History Museum, the Bowers Museum, and a Los Angeles Angels baseball game.

The Bright Prospect Senior Celebration is the day we get to celebrate our graduating Seniors along with their families. In this event, is to welcome the graduating seniors into our college programming and emphasize our mission statement of “empowering students to and through.” Our students will receive a gift from Bright Prospect and receive recognition for all of their hard work throughout their academic years.
